ScaleUp Technologies in Partnership With Scality

In co-operation with object-based cloud storage pioneer Scality, the German cloud company ScaleUp presented its Storage Management Platform to the audience at Storage Networking World Europe.

"For users, ScaleUp’s Secure Cloud Storage offers 3X Redundant Storage with a German-based, EU-compliant cloud data storage solution," said Christoph Streit, ScaleUp’s CTO and Co-Founder. "It is compatible with the familiar S3 storage API and only 0.10€ per gigabyte per month. For MSP’s and Enterprise providers seeking to launch their own storage solutions using Scality RING technology, ScaleUp can offer its Storage Management Platform for faster go-to-market." He added: "ScaleUp’s self-service storage platform enables full user authentication and allows users to purchase online. It includes a `User Account Dashboard’ and automates the collection of metering, billing and payment."

ScaleUp spent many months reviewing storage technology providers before deciding upon Scality, the developer of massively scalable object storage software for email and cloud storage applications.

Due to this partnership, ScaleUp can offer its storage solution for a competitive price of 0.10€ per gigabyte per month (excl. VAT) – which is less expensive than even Amazon S3 for a comparable service.

"We have worked closely with ScaleUp to integrate our fully distributed architecture, free from single points of failure or bottlenecks, with their provisioning and billing systems," he added.

Through this partnership, on top of offering a public cloud storage service, ScaleUp adds another offering to its portfolio by becoming a global reseller for Scality, bringing the economics of the cloud and the performance and security of on-premise infrastructures, to the enterprise market with Private Cloud Storage deployments.
