Scality Partners With CommVault

Scality and CommVault announced a technology partnership.

Enterprises throughout Europe are now in a position to set up a full, in-house backup and data management solution benefiting from CommVault Simpana software and Scality’s massively scalable, always available object storage platform, Scality RING. Web hosts already using Scality RING to facilitate public cloud storage can now offer a strong backup product offering with CommVault.
 
The adoption of CommVault’s backup technology in Europe has been hindered by the legal and social roadblocks of storing data offsite or in another country. With the Scality partnership, CommVault Simpana can now be provided in the country of operations by local cloud storage providers using the Scality RING platform, or even onsite for customers wishing to deploy their own private clouds with the same technology from Scality.
