Zycko UK Distributor of SGI

Value-added UK distributor Zycko Ltd. announces a new distribution agreement with Silicon Graphics International.

The agreement sees Zycko secure UK channel distribution rights to SGI’s
full product range, including LSI’s storage solutions.
The SGI deal also sees Zycko bring its first server offering to the
channel.

SGI, known for producing the fastest super-computers in the world,
boasts a catalogue of leading data centre products including the Origin
400, which contains small blade servers and a storage area network (SAN)
all built into the same unit, which, David Galton-Fenzi, Group Sales
and Marketing Director at Zycko claims, is perfect for the SME market:
"SGI is renowned for the excellent energy and density specifications of
its products. An offering such as the Origin 400 is a good example of
why SGI is also well suited to smaller organisations. Our current
portfolio will really benefit from the vendor’s first class mid-range
storage solutions. In addition, we’re delighted to be able to offer LSI
solutions to the UK channel through SGI’s
InfiniteStorage range. We are also very excited about the new server technology. This is
Zycko’s first foray into the server market and the SGI offering fits
well with our commitment of introducing innovative technology to the
channel. Our resellers can now further enhance their sales and
relationships with the end user, by selecting from an even stronger
distribution catalogue than before."

The collaboration is SGI’s first UK channel venture with a distributor,
and the entire product range will be available to the market. SGI and
Zycko will also be present at this month’s IP EXPO where they will be
meeting and greeting channel partners as well as demonstrating data
centre innovation with the Universal ICE Cube Modular Data
Centre: a shipping
container equipped with the latest in server, storage, cabinet and
power infrastructure technology.

Zycko and SGI will be conducting a partner event in November at London’s
premier wine tasting destination, Vinopolis
in which channel partners will be able to further explore SGI’s
portfolio and engage with Zycko to find out more about the value-added
sales, technical and marketing support, offered by the distributor, in
regards to the SGI range.
