Evatronix From Poland Receives USB-IF Certification

For its USB 3.0 device controller IP core

The silicon intellectual property (IP) provider, Evatronix SA, announces that its SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Device Controller IP core has been certified by USB Implementers Forum, the organization behind the USB standards, as compatible with the latest version of the SuperSpeed USB 3.0 specification.

The SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Device Controller from Evatronix is a complete digital IP solution that matches the USB-IF criteria for specification compliance.

"The certification is yet another evidence for the excellent technical expertise of our engineers," says Wojciech Sakowski, President of Evatronix. "But even more important, our customers now have the security to work with a core that is guaranteed to fully meet the tough USB 3.0 specification requirements. This cuts design costs and precious development time at their end even further."

With certified backward compatibility and embedded support for USB 2.0 High Speed mode, the controller is guaranteed to work with all USB hosts that utilize either USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 connection. Also all the power management enhancements are implemented, as defined by the standard. These include link power management for significant savings when idle, elimination of continuous device polling, as well as both device and individual function level suspend capabilities for power removal from parts or all of the device’s circuitry.

Founded in 1991, Evatronix is a provider of 8051 microcontrollers, SuperSpeed USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 controllers and memory controllers – ONFi 2.2 compatible NAND Flash and SD 3.0/SDIO 2.0 and eMMC 4.4 compatible SDIO Host controller, among others.

Evatronix is headquartered in Bielsko-Biala, Poland, and employs over 75 engineers.
