MTI to Market VirtualSharp ReliableDR solution
Across the UK
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on October 15, 2010 at 2:55 pmVirtualSharp Software, developer of Disaster Recovery Assurance solutions for virtual datacentres, has partnered with MTI, the specialist cloud infrastructure consultancy and integrator for the Virtual Computing Environment (VCE) coalition, a collaboration of Cisco, EMC and VMware. According to the agreement MTI will market VirtualSharp’s ReliableDR solution across the UK region, with plans to extend this coverage to other European countries during 2011.
"We chose MTI because taking a product into a country for the first time requires unquestionable knowledge of the technology and of the local market," said Carlos Escapa, VirtualSharp’s CEO and former senior regional director for Southern Europe at VMware. "With their proven track record in the delivery of turn-key and bespoke DR solutions in highly demanding IT environments, MTI is ideally positioned and skilled to drive the adoption of this new disaster recovery paradigm."
ReliableDR is suited to all virtual server deployments requiring granular and frequent DR tests of IT services, but is particularly pertinent to organisations with stringent compliance requirements or that are heavily regulated by government legislation or internal policies. Unique to ReliableDR is the capability of implementing policy-based and enforceable Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and measurable and predictable Recovery Time Objectives (RTO), taking the risk, guesswork and unpredictability out of today’s recovery processes.
"Every few years a new product is introduced that has the potential to change the way end users approach their IT infrastructure; VirtualSharp’s ReliableDR is one of them and we are very excited to have the opportunity to take it to market," said Tony Conway, Vice President Service at MTI. "We are looking forward to showing IT administrators how to look at Disaster Recovery in a completely new way, one that can make IT more resilient and aligned with their corporate Business Continuity strategy."
VirtualSharp launched its UK operations and established its Northern European headquarters in Maidenhead last month as part of its European expansion plans.
