Enhance Technology Announces VMware ESX 4.0 Certification

Enhance Technology, Inc. announced its dual-active IP SAN storage UltraStor ES3160 P4 has passed VMware‘s certification program for VMware ESX Server 4.0 and 4.1.

The combination of VMware’s storage virtualization and Enhance Technology’s dual-Active quad (4x) GbE iSCSI RAID protected storage system allow UltraStor users to reduce hardware costs while adding redundancy and enterprise data protection for a fraction of a typical SAN price. The VMware certification demonstrates Enhance Technology’s pursuit to excel in the virtual storage markets with powerful and easy to use UltraStor SAN storage.

VMware allows UltraStor customers to take advantage of ES3160 P4’s unique strengths and capabilities with benefits such as less energy consumption, near-zero downtime, simplified storage management, and flexible and scalable network storage environment for enterprise and SMB. VMware requires fewer servers which help UltraStor ES3160 P4 customers lower their operating cost and energy usage directly contributing to increase productivity and profitability. VMware supports a variety of operating systems for use on most applications and its VMotion feature also provides live migration of virtual machines in the event of an unexpected computer failure, thus providing a robust server and network environment.
