This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on September 21, 2010 at 2:49 pmMobile Armor, Inc., in portable data encryption and mobile device management, announced the availability of KeyArmor v3.0.1, a centrally managed, fully encrypted USB flash drive with embedded anti-virus software for government agencies and corporate enterprises.
Mobile Armor KeyArmor is FIPS 140-2 Level 3 certified and utilizes military grade AES 256 CBC encryption, making it the most secure and managed USB flash drive solution available. Mobile Armor also announced that KeyArmor v3.0.1 has been added to the US Army Information Assurance Approved Product List (AIAAPL).
"We fully expect KeyArmor to disrupt the market and change the way people think about USB flash drive security," said Michael Menegay, Mobile Armor’s chief executive officer. "USB drives are an essential part of day-to-day operations for a broad spectrum of corporate and government business and their mobile workers; however, the ramification of these mobile drives transporting malicious code; and/or sensitive data stored on these devices falling into the wrong hands is not conjecture – we’ve seen the consequences. It is these kinds of threats that breed security innovation and the development of new technologies and feature sets, such as KeyArmor. KeyArmor provides unrivaled protection of data-at-rest and data-in-motion – combining the flexibility and mobility that government personnel and corporate employees desire with the requirements of enterprise-level security to protect sensitive data against cybercrime and malicious attacks. KeyArmor grants administrators the control they need to enforce policies on the devices and the power to remotely disable or self-destruct the drive should it be lost or stolen."
KeyArmor USB flash drives secure data with always-on hardware encryption and embedded anti-virus protection to meet the most stringent government mandates. With KeyArmor, administrators control how USB devices are used, who uses them, and where they are able to connect. KeyArmor devices are centrally managed through a single management console while providing robust CAC and other forms of authentication, encryption key management, policy setting, alerting, logging, and reporting.
KeyArmor is just one product in Mobile Armor’s arsenal of fortified data encryption and device management products. Mobile Armor is the only vendor to offer a fully integrated, centrally managed data encryption suite that protects PCs, laptops, notebooks, smartphones, CD/DVDs, removable media and ships FIPS certified 140-2 level 3 USB encrypted drives with embedded anti-virus protection.
KeyArmor and the Mobile Armor Suite may be delivered on-premise or in a SaaS hosted environment. Mobile Armor has designed its SaaS solution to minimize upfront and ongoing IT security costs.
