The project entails Datalink’s full lifecycle of disaster recovery and business continuity services, including analysis, design, implementation, and Datalink OneCall support services.
Robust disaster recovery capabilities are central to JCCC’s ability to ensure the academic records of its 35,000-plus credit and continuing education students are fully protected and accessible. After assessing JCCC’s needs and evaluating available technologies, Datalink recommended the implementation of NetApp‘s disk-based, site-to-site replication and storage solutions. These solutions will provide JCCC with granular-level backup capabilities, along with better performance and simplified management.
JCCC VP Information Systems / CIO Denise Moore commented: "The NetApp solution provided by Datalink will enable Johnson County Community College to advance educational opportunities and improve business processes by providing innovative, reliable, secure and flexible technologies and services. In addition to robust disaster recovery capabilities, the solutions will provide JCCC with additional storage capacity. Datalink will deploy these solutions in multiple data centers, as well as upgrade JCCC’s existing NetApp infrastructure, using regionally-based account and professional services teams from Kansas and Missouri."
"Datalink listened to our needs and designed a cost-effective solution that will provide disaster recovery for our mission critical systems," said Sandra Warner, Director Administrative Computing Services / Deputy CIO, JCCC. "JCCC’s partnership with Datalink resulted in time and cost savings for the college while reducing risk. They truly exceeded our expectations."
Datalink President and CEO Paul Lidsky commented: "Our comprehensive business continuity planning and disaster recovery practice creates a framework for operational excellence. JCCC is a great example of an organization that leverages IT to propel forward. We are pleased to be selected by JCCC to help them optimize their data center operations and drive measurable enhancements across their organization."
