Promise Selects LAI
As authorized training partner in Europe
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on September 17, 2010 at 4:03 pmPromise Technology, Inc. EMEA has introduced a European certification programme for IT professionals and has selected Learning Associates International (LAI) as its preferred training partner for the VTrak certification course.
Promise looked for a partner to impart that knowledge. And thanks to its relationship with Promise, LAI already had all the technical expertise and product understanding to deliver this training.
The Promise certification programme teaches IT professionals to understand the core of their DAS/SAN/XSAN environment. In addition, the certification also gives several other benefits such as how to optimise Promise’s storage systems as well as providing direct access to Promise Technology level 2 support.
"Our customers and resellers are requesting a professional VTrak course with the possibility to get certified on our whole VTrak product range,” said Robin Willemse, Business Development Manager EMEA at Promise Technology. "LAI has a proven reputation when it comes to channel development and delivering IT courses to the IT professional.”
"Our strong commitment to consistently delivering the best certification courses has clearly been noticed by Promise Technology,” said Cron van der Lee, LAI Business developer. "We are proud to support Promise Technology by bringing the certification course to Europe.”
Promise’s VTrak RAID storage system, using high speed fibre channel and SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) technologies, is used in the broadcasting, virtualisation and IT markets. In order to make best use of those storage systems, industry professionals need to have a deep knowledge of Promise RAID technologies – for example, in areas such as in terms of access, speed, IOPs and reliability.
LAI offers training for Promise-certified IT professionals throughout Europe. The two day training course also includes access to the appropriate hardware for hands-on experience. The next training course will be held on the 17th and 18th of November 2010 in Schiedam, The Netherlands and is open for registration.
