In 58 days
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on September 10, 2010 at 3:05 pmServInt has completed the largest customer disk-space upgrade in its history, more than a month ahead of schedule. The free upgrade, which was expected to require 90 days to complete, instead was finished in only 58 days. As a result of the upgrade, most ServInt VPS hosting customers have seen their server disk space nearly double at no charge.
ServInt Founder and Chief Executive Officer Reed Caldwell praised the engineering team responsible for implementing the upgrade process. He noted that, in most cases, customers were unaware the upgrade was underway until their new storage resources came online.
"Disk-space upgrades that affect entire subscriber communities require an enormous amount of behind-the-scenes work that easily can impact site availability," Caldwell said. "Our goal was to effect this massive system enhancement without negatively impacting a single one of our clients’ online businesses – even for a moment. Many thousands of customers later, I can announce we achieved our goal, in record time."
This summer’s disk-space upgrade was the latest service enhancement provided for ServInt customers at no charge. ServInt frequently provides free resource upgrades to its existing customers, to ensure they have access to all the benefits and enhancements offered to new clients.
