Thompson will oversee all aspects of SEPATON’s sales and marketing efforts as well as professional services. He will report directly to SEPATON President and CEO, Mike Worhach.
"Mike is well respected in the industry, has exceptional credentials and the experience and leadership skills necessary to take our company to the next level," said Worhach. "I am extremely confident in his ability to grow revenue and to build a highly effective sales and marketing team."
Reporting to Thompson will be worldwide sales, channel sales, sales operations, professional services and marketing functions. He brings to this position more than 25 years of sales and marketing experience in technology companies.

Thompson comes to SEPATON after serving as president, chief executive officer and chairman at Egenera Corporation. Before joining Egenera, Thompson was senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing and a member of the board of directors at Stratus Technologies, where he managed a 400-person operation that generated more than $700 million in annual revenues through direct and indirect channels.
Prior to Stratus, Thompson served as director of U.S. sales operations for the financial line of business at Tandem Computers.
Thompson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from Southern Connecticut University.
