New Wave Automation Uses ProStor InfiniVault

As replacement for Plasmon optical system

ProStor Systems announced that New Wave Automation, a Las Vegas, NV based document management service bureau and reseller focused on the gaming industry, has developed a turnkey document management storage solution integrating ProStor InfiniVault technology. The combined system has enabled New Wave Automation to steadily replace legacy Plasmon optical archive systems in the gaming industry.

New Wave Automation offers its gaming customers a complete turnkey document management system comprising of a suite of custom designed software modules using the ProStor InfiniVault as the physical repository. The reseller performed significant due diligence on multiple backup and archive technologies before choosing the ProStor InfiniVault Model 5 and 30 systems.

"The gaming industry is required to keep a wide variety of documents ranging upward to hundreds of thousands per day and retain them for a period of 5 to 7 years to meet compliance regulations, which add up to huge volumes of data files," said Tom Bechtel, COO of New Wave Automation. "ProStor InfiniVault met all of our business and technical requirements for an extremely robust, secure, compliant and self-maintaining system that could withstand the rigors of continuous 24/7 operation indicative of the gaming industry. Moreover, the operational cost per TB for the total solution was in line or less than what the industry is used to, with a payback period within 6 to 12 months – a significant purchasing incentive for our customers."

"ProStor InfiniVault easily addresses the compliance pain point facing the gaming industry," added Dennis Rowley, Director of Technical Support for New Wave Automation. "ProStor InfiniVault’s ability to customize its implementation by automating business rules associated with corporate policies, government regulations and legal requirements regarding data retention and management, authenticity, accessibility and confidentiality is extremely valuable to our clients requiring compliant data storage practices. The fact that it offers non-obsolete RDX® removable disk technology, easy integration into existing networks, immutability and limitless capacity scaling makes it the ideal partner for our turnkey solution, rewarding our clients with additional value-add – no other technology comes close."

"We’re very pleased that ProStor InfiniVault’s technical and business value propositions have rewarded New Wave Automation with ever increasing sales traction in the gaming industry," noted Frank Harbist, president and CEO of ProStor Systems. "We are excited to witness the continued widespread acceptance of ProStor InfiniVault as the most popular alternative to tape and optical storage solutions, and we will continue to drive customer-centric innovation into the product line to add higher value for our reseller partners and to better serve our customers."
