USB 3.0, FW 400/800 and eSATA
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on August 11, 2010 at 3:21 pmAXUS Microsystems Inc., the subsidiary of ASUS, reveals a quad ports (USB3.0, Firewire400/800, eSATA) Hardware RAID product line, FiT F version, during Computex (June 1-5) Taipei. FiT F series is now known as Hardware RAID (tower, and rack-mount) with multiple RAID levels supported (R 0, R 1, R1 0, R 3, R5, Large, Clone, PM) for advanced PC/Mac users who required data protection and security. FiT is also designed to be for small business users, media data storage environment, industry PC resources, and many other applicants.
FIT 500
The FiT F series offers customers the options to use hardware RAID to better match their application needs, to save storage costs, and to enhance overall performance at the same time. The FiT F series offer different interfaces: eSATA, USB3.0 and 1394a/b, plus its OS transparent.
With such flexibility, the FiT F series can work efficiently in many different data storage applications such as security monitoring, industry computers, and voice and media storage management.
FiT F series feature Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) Encryption Technology using a secret key of length (AES-256: 256-bit) for security RAID protections. Once the users generate the AES key, the RAID volume will be not accessed without AES key, offering users a secure way to protect their data.
Features of FiT F series
The FiT has an embedded RAID controller, supporting RAID level 0, 1, 3, 5, PM, Large and Clone. The automatically on-line rebuilding feature allows any failed disk in a RAID 5 array to be replaced without powering off the FiT, and reduces system downtime while ensuring data integrity.

Introduction of FiT Series
- FiT 3 Bay Towers: FiT 3 Bay with hardware RAID 5 has been first release in the storage market, and offers better RAID protection than 2 Bay RAID boxes, which is only available with RAID 0 and 1. Users now can enjoy reliable RAID 5 in the most economic way and the convenience of easy-carry.
- FiT 5 Bay Towers: For paying almost the same price, 5 Bay’s users can enjoy more capacity with an extra drive, and have an extra buffer to provide better performance and more stability while data processing compare to 4Bay RAID box.
- FiT 4 Bay 1U rack-mount: FiT 4 Bay is designed for small business users who can install the rack-mount into their own cabinet without paying too much for their storage budgets.
Availability
The new FiT F series will be available on Q3, 2010. Accessories available: Re-driver card, HBA Card, eSATA express / 43 Cars.
