Mark Delsman VP Engineering, Pliant Technology

He was at Dot Hill, NetApp, Adaptec and Seagate

Pliant Technology announced the appointment of Mark Delsman as vice president of engineering.

Delsman has an extensive background in engineering management, product execution, technology strategy, and product development. Prior to joining Pliant, Delsman was vice president of Software Engineering for Dot Hill Systems, where he was in charge of developing the company’s software value-add strategy and products for the entry and midrange storage solutions markets. Previous to that, he was the senior director of software engineering for NetApp and the CTO and vice president of engineering at Adaptec. Additional experience includes Seagate Technology, Conner Peripherals, Maxtor and other leading storage companies.

In his new role, Delsman will manage the software, hardware and ASIC development organizations to expand Pliant’s leadership position in the enterprise storage market for solid state based technologies. Utilizing his extensive engineering management experience in enterprise data center and storage technologies, Delsman will be an active participant in shaping Pliant’s overall corporate technical strategy and direction as the company expands the Lightning product line, and continues to deliver innovative solutions to server and storage OEMs and value-added channel partners.

Delsman holds a Masters of Business Administration from Santa Clara University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from University of California, Santa Barbara.
