Carolyn Crandall VP WW Marketing, Riverbed

Riverbed Technology announced that Carolyn Crandall has joined the company as vice president of worldwide marketing.

riverbed_carolyn_crandall In her new role, Crandall oversees the strategic management of global marketing initiatives for Riverbed. Crandall brings more than 20 years of experience in marketing management with expertise in developing and managing go-to-market strategies and initiatives, brand management, channel marketing and enablement, lead generation and field marketing.

Riverbed is delivering IT performance solutions and is recognized for its technology that makes the wide area network (WAN) perform like a local area network (LAN). Its WAN optimization solutions are of increasing importance to organizations as they seek to consolidate and virtualize their IT infrastructure. As Riverbed looks to extend its leadership in WAN optimization to new products and markets, including cloud storage, Crandall is leading the effort to communicate the company’s vision and strategy and to develop and implement go-to-market activities. Additionally, Crandall is responsible for extending Riverbed’s brand equity and accelerating growth with its partners through Riverbed partner program enablement and recruitment initiatives.

Prior to joining Riverbed, Crandall was senior vice president of worldwide marketing at i365, a Seagate Company, where she oversaw all outbound marketing strategy components, including company branding and communications, product marketing, the company’s partner program, and the management of all aspects of online and offline demand generation. Prior to i365, Crandall was vice president for global systems integrators at Juniper Networks, where she architected and implemented the company’s systems integrators go-to-market strategy. Crandall previously held leadership positions at Cisco Systems, where she developed and managed the company’s two-tier distribution channel, commercial market strategy, channel marketing, channel product marketing, and partner pre-sales help operations.
