Diskeeper Appoints activeSphere

Diskeeper Corporation has signed a European distribution deal with Frankfurt-based software specialist activeSphere Distribution GmbH.

The contract covers Germany, Switzerland and Italy and will enable IT consultants to help businesses on the continent introduce efficiencies in IT by preventing and eliminating disk fragmentation.

activeSphere will be taking the company’s full product range to market, including its most recent offerings: Diskeeper 2010 with IntelliWrite technology, which prevents up to 85% of fragmentation from occurring; and V-locity 2.0, the new virtual platform disk optimiser.

Thomas Doria, Business Development Manager for Diskeeper EMEA, commented: "We were looking for an independent, proactive partner that would be able to build on our existing reputation to help more European companies address the financial, productivity and environmental costs associated with fragmentation across all Windows-based systems, SANs and virtual environments. At a time when IT departments are facing pressure to demonstrate return on investment and meet targets for reducing carbon emissions, reducing fragmentation should be a top priority."

activeSphere will be working through its network of selected channel partners to take Diskeeper performance software to market.
