C2C Compatible With Exchange Server 2010

For ArchiveOne Enterprise and Express

C2C Systems announced that its ArchiveOne Enterprise and ArchiveOne Express are now compatible with Microsoft Exchange Server 2010, the latest release of the  business email application with an estimated 200 million installed seats.

Exchange 2010 was the first of a new generation of Microsoft server technologies built from the ground up to work on-premises, as an online service from Microsoft or partners, or a mix of both. The greatest changes in Exchange 2010 revolve around system failover in terms of disaster recovery and also includes some features to improve system performance and capacity.

ArchiveOne adds significant value to Exchange 2010 with reference to aiding migration, reducing storage demands, discovery and recovery of PSTs and for full compliance and eDiscovery. Furthermore, the addition of other archiving technologies such as Files and SharePoint will bring greater benefits to customers.

This edition of ArchiveOne works hand-in-hand to deliver the benefits of email archiving and will include new products to enhance discovery, recovery and migration of PSTs and capitalise on the value of the pre- and post-archive data management that made C2C a forerunner in this market,” said Dave Hunt, CEO of C2C. “The challenge to provide a quality product to enhance the latest version of Exchange has not been lost on C2C or its competitors. Whether a hosted email-as-a-service solution, or a traditional on-premises email server, at the office or on the road, ArchiveOne will give customers additional power and flexibility in their email management.”

Russ Brown, Head of IT for UK law firm Essex Court Chambers recently oversaw migration of the company’s mailboxes from Microsoft Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010.Using ArchiveOne extended the benefits of Exchange 2010 to deliver an enterprise archive solution that includes automated mailbox quota management, retention period controls, and other required features. The size of Essex Court Chambers’ email store has been reduced from 685GB to 232GB.

PST files were undoubtedly problematic and unreliable,” said Brown. “Just the ability to have greater control from discovery to finalising the migration has been a significant bonus, but with the management, flexibility and scalability that ArchiveOne brings, we are able to bring out another dimension to Exchange performance for our members.
