Southern Arkansas Univ. Tech With Online Electronic Data Storage Certificate of Proficiency
In collaboration with Prism International
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on July 19, 2010 at 3:09 pmSouthern Arkansas University Tech (SAU Tech) announced its new online Electronic Data Storage Certificate of Proficiency, created in collaboration with Prism International, a data storage industry professional association, and other industry participants.
The online certificate was created in response to industry demand for training in the areas specific to Electronic Data Storage, the secure transmission of electronic data to an offsite backup location via the internet or other communication line.
The rapid evolution of technology and regulatory requirements has forced organizations to shift from physical (media) to electronic (online) backups. This online certificate aims to ease the learning curve for these organizations, especially storage providers. Candidates can participate in the online program from the convenience of their office, home or other location via the internet. The online learning environment is maintained by the college’s division for web-based learning.
"We are very excited about the new Electronic Data Storage Management program," said Dr. Corbet Lamkin, Chancellor of SAU Tech. "The global outreach and contemporary content of the program are in keeping with SAU Tech’s tradition of service to industry, government and community."
This is one of the few known programs of its kind in the country. This program provides the flexibility of online learning and is affordable.
