Host Europe Selects Scality Ring

Scality, developer of massively-scalable storage software for email and cloud storage applications, announced that Host Europe GmbH, the third largest provider of Internet and hosting services in the German-speaking market, has selected Scality RING storage software to provide a cloud storage solution for their cloud hosting customers.

Host Europe has a focus on virtualization and cloud technologies and is Europe’s largest virtualization provider with 35,000 active virtual machines. Host Europe was looking for a storage solution to provide both public and private cloud storage and to cater for the rapidly increasing customer demand for archiving and cost-effective ‘long-tail’ storage for large files that are only called rarely.
