12th Consecutive Growth Quarter for Exagrid

During the quarter the company expanded its customer base to more than 650 customers and gained significant new global market share.
Along with strong sales results, the company continued to execute in a variety of important areas during the quarter.
Key achievements in Q2 2010 include the following:
- Growing Global Market Share: With more than 650 customers – and a record number of new customers signed in the quarter – ExaGrid continued to grow its customer base and worldwide market share. ExaGrid has the industry’s largest installed base of GRID scalable disk backup appliances with data deduplication in mid-market and small enterprise companies, with more than 2,600 systems installed at more than 1,000 customer sites worldwide. Nearly half of ExaGrid’s customers have completely eliminated tape in their storage environments using ExaGrid appliances for both onsite and offsite backups.
- 180 Real-World ExaGrid Customer Success Stories: First-hand experiences with ExaGrid are published on the company’s website, including case studies from leaders like American Standard, Four Seasons Resort, Kingston Technology, Konica Minolta, Morningstar, and Prestige Brands. This is more published customer success stories than all competitors combined.
- Worldwide Channel Growth: ExaGrid continued adding to its global base of hundreds of channel partners throughout the world, including reseller partners with national reach such as CDW, PC Connection, PC Mall and Zones, as well as a growing number of regional value-added resellers. ExaGrid continues to successfully scale its global channel sales model, as well as the percentage of its business done through channel partners.
- Industry Recognition and Leadership: During the quarter ExaGrid was named ‘One to Watch’ by Storage Magazine at the annual Storage Awards in London. The Storage Awards recognize the industry’s most outstanding and innovative people, products and services, as chosen by the readers of Storage magazine and the general public. This announcement followed the announcement from the previous quarter where Storage Magazine chose ExaGrid as Backup and Recovery Hardware ‘Product of the Year.’
- Product Enhancements: ExaGrid added support for HP Data Protector and BakBone NetVault backup software. Customers using HP’s industry-leading Data Protector or BakBone’s NetVault backup application along with ExaGrid’s disk-based backup with deduplication appliance can significantly reduce backup windows, improve recovery times and cost-effectively protect more data on secure, reliable disk.
