President & CEO Kai Flore Leaves Fujitsu Technology Solutions

Richard Christou takes on role of executive chairman.

Fujitsu announced that with immediate effect fujitsu_technology_kai_flore Kai Flore ceased to be President & CEO of Fujitsu Technology Solutions.

Until a successor has been identified, Richard Christou, currently Chairman at Fujitsu Technology Solutions, will take on the role of Executive Chairman and the management council will report directly to him.

A search for a new President & CEO is already underway.

Richard Christou is Corporate Senior Executive Vice President of Fujitsu Limited, responsible for the group’s business in all markets outside Japan. He has also taken on the role of Executive Chairman at Fujitsu Technology Solutions in June 2010.

Christou has steered business outside Japan since June 2008 as president of the Global Business Group. He has successfully unified Fujitsu’s global product and services portfolio, while realigning group companies into regional units to enhance customer responsiveness and efficiency.

From 2000 to 2007, Christou was executive chairman of European subsidiary Fujitsu Services, expanding it into the second-largest services provider to the UK government and Fujitsu’s largest single business outside Japan.

Christou earned B.A. and M.A. degrees in law from Cambridge. He resides in Tokyo and enjoys opera, theatre and literature outside of work.
