Chuck Kostalnick Senior VP, Avnet Embedded Division

Chuck joined Bell Micro in October 2005 as Vice President of System Builder Sales, later managing the OEM sales organization. He was promoted to Senior Vice President, Technology Solutions Group and was responsible for sales in the OEM and Enterprise markets as well as business development and growth in Bell’s value-add business. He was promoted to President, North American Distribution in May 2009.
With over twenty years experience in the electronic distribution industry, Chuck formerly served as V.P. of Sales for Arrow OCS and held other senior management positions with Arrow, Avnet EM and Marshall Industries.
He earned his B.A. degree in Economics from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
The new Avnet’s division incorporates the acquired embedded business in North America of Bell Microproducts Inc., announced earlier, with Avnet’s existing embedded solutions offering and focuses on providing a full suite of embedded solutions – from storage, computing, software and networking products, to disk drives, flat panels and embedded boards – made by industry-leading suppliers. The new Avnet Embedded division will also integrate Avnet Technology Solutions Americas Embedded Solutions’ sales organization.

Kostalnick will report directly to Ed Smith, president of Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas. “Our OEM and embedded customers now get the benefit of a broader line card, additional technical resources and a highly skilled team – it’s a great enhancement of our commitment to the embedded space,” said Smith. "With more than 20 years of experience, including the last five at Bell Micro, Chuck has the right level of leadership and expertise to guide our embedded business into the future.”
