Digital Archive From Atempo Interoperable With Data Domain DeDupe
The software firm joins EMC Velocity² Technology and ISV Program.

The interoperability of Atempo Digital Archive and Data Domain systems enables users to leverage Data Domain systems as target storage for Atempo Digital Archive. By combining Atempo Digital Archive with the leading deduplication storage systems, customers of any size from any industry can realize tremendous storage efficiency and cost savings. Users of the combined solution, can free up space on their expensive primary storage by moving the inactive data with Atempo Digital Archive while benefiting from Data Domain’s advanced data reduction technologies to save even more with their long-term archive.

Since last year, Atempo has its own block-level de-dupe technology, HyperStream Server, a module for its Time Navigator backup software. Here the company uses Data Domain for archiving applications.
