Atlantis ILIO Appliance Citrix Ready

Atlantis Computing, provider of VDI performance and storage optimization solutions, announced that Atlantis ILIO has been verified as Citrix Ready.

Atlantis ILIO complements Citrix XenDesktop by increasing performance, reducing storage costs and giving XenDesktop customers more storage choices. Atlantis ILIO completed a verification process to ensure compatibility with XenDesktop, providing customers with confidence in the joint solution’s compatibility.

With Atlantis ILIO, XenDesktop uses up to 20 times less storage (depending on modules purchased) and desktops perform on average 10 times faster. Atlantis ILIO gives IT organizations the flexibility to distribute XenDesktop VMs across multiple storage locations and types, allowing them to repurpose existing excess storage capacity. In addition, Atlantis ILIO enables IT organization to choose between high-end SAN storage with fiber channel connections and less expensive SAN/NAS servers with gigabit Ethernet, further reducing storage costs. When deploying XenDesktop with provisioning capabilities, Atlantis ILIO enhances XenDesktop performance by intelligently accelerating the user write cache and shared master disk. Atlantis ILIO patent-pending IO Virtualization Technology is deployed as a 1u physical server appliance that is installed in each XenDesktop server rack in the data path between the XenDesktop servers and the storage array.
