Consonus Supports Asigra Cloud Backup v10

Consonus Technologies, Inc. announced support for Asigra‘s Cloud Backup v10, a cloud backup solution that eliminates the need for multiple point backup solutions and improves the efficiency, reliability and performance for backing up mixed computing environments to the cloud.

Consonus is an existing Asigra partner, leveraging the Asigra platform as the foundation of Consonus Remote Backup Service (Consonus RBS) – a complete remote backup and restore solution that is fully automated, secure, efficient, and reliable. Requiring minimal involvement of existing IT resources, Consonus RBS is a unique alternative to traditional backup methods, replacing conventional systems with a fully automated, disk-based online solution. Consonus RBS provides automated backups of a wide variety of current and legacy file servers, as well as application and database servers, with encrypted, secure offsite storage and rapid online restoration. All data is stored in Consonus’ SAS70 Type II audited data center offering 99.99% availability.

Asigra Cloud Backup v10 is holistic backup and recovery software optimized for cloud computing and designed to offer backup and storage efficiencies unavailable with traditional backup architecture by allowing users to capture less, ingest less, and store less data thereby reducing the amount of backup software cycles and storage hardware required to deploy and maintain high levels of data protection.
