Vodien From Singapore Utilizes R1Soft CDP
To offer backup service
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on June 3, 2010 at 3:30 pmVodien Internet Solutions, a Singapore web hosting provider, will introduce a fully-managed backup service featuring R1Soft’s high-performance Continuous Data Protection (CDP) software.
R1Soft’s advanced CDP technology offers Vodien fundamental features including centralized backup management, multi-level administration capabilities, and cross-platform protection for Windows and Linux servers. Combined with a set of features, R1Soft’s fast, efficient backups allow Vodien to streamline the entire infrastructure planning and backup strategy process.
Initially the backup service will be offered to Vodien’s dedicated server clients as an add-on to bundle with their existing web hosting plans. As part of the new service, the Vodien SuperSupport team will monitor all restore points and disaster recovery practice run-throughs will be available for customers who wish to test their backups and restoration services. Vodien also plans to eventually offer backup services for businesses seeking a remote backup service for their business-critical data.
“Vodien wanted to offer customers a simple way to have their data continuously backed up on a per-server basis and R1Soft’s comprehensive backup and restoration policy solution has enabled us to do this,” said John Lee, VP Sales Engineer.
R1Soft’s disk-based data protection software works by creating point-in-time snapshots of data at the block-level and only recording changes made since the last backup allowing for backups to run up to every 15 minutes. With the Bare-Metal Restore feature, Vodien gains the ability to restore a client’s data to any point-in-time snapshot for fast, efficient disaster recovery.
