Harwood International Distributor of SGI

For InfiniteStorage SP Line

Silicon Graphics International Corp. announced that Harwood International Corporation will distribute SGI’s recently announced LSI-powered InfiniteStorage SP (Select Product) line, part of the expanded SGI Global Channel Network. Harwood has delivered IT solutions to more than 6,000 customers in 92 countries for over 30 years.

"SGI selected Harwood International because of its deep experience, particularly delivering storage solutions," said Tony Carrozza, senior vice president of worldwide sales at SGI. "As SGI works to extend its channel reach with channel-focused storage products, Harwood will bring to partners dedicated support that will help ensure their business growth."

Harwood will serve SGI resellers in the U.S. with expertise in sales, solution development, systems integration and repair. Additional services may include fine-tuning business applications to help resellers better meet evolving needs. Harwood’s web development team specializes in custom services designed to help access applications through web-enabling technologies.

Harwood will distribute the SGI InfiniteStorage SP product line, which includes entry-level and mid-range enterprise RAID-based storage with comprehensive interconnect support for iSCSI, fiber channel, InfiniBand and SAS. These solutions are application ready for Oracle Database, VMware and Microsoft enterprise software, including SQL Server, Exchange and SharePoint. These new storage solutions have heterogeneous support with the flexibility to tightly integrate with SGI compute environments, operate as stand-alone storage, as well as integrate into other OEM compute lines.
