Ocster Backups With File Versioning
On Backup Pro 5 ($40)
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on May 25, 2010 at 3:21 pmA major problem in today’s world is the management and safety of data. Files can be lost in many ways. Hard disk failure quickly comes to mind, but some of the most common causes are accidental deletion and accidental modification. Ocster announced that it will tackle these last two problems with its new Ocster Backup Pro 5, which will introduce a feature called ‘versioning’.
With versioning the successor to the highly regarded Ocster Backup Pro 4 will provide the option to keep older versions of files every time a new version is introduced. The user can then go back and restore older version of a file at any time. A ‘cutoff’ time, after which the old data is automatically deleted, can also be configured, thus providing the user with great control over the amount of old data he wants to keep. Ocster Backup Pro 5 will ensure that you never lose out on precious data even if you make a mistake to delete a document or a part of it.
One of the people behind this is Hauke Duden, CEO of Ocster, who is all geared up for the launch of the product this summer. He says: “Our commitment to our consumers is to provide solutions that will make their life easier, rather than giving them products that leave them confused and upset. With this new feature we have reiterated our commitment to bring the best of the league services to our customers”
The solution will be on sale beginning this summer at a price of 39.90 USD. Ocster Backup Pro 5 supports Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 (the 64 Bit version of each operating system is also supported) with 512 MB RAM and 125 MB free space on hard disk.
