Sanderson now leads an experienced team managing Iron Mountain’s relationships with customers in the legal, insurance, accounting and property sectors.
Sanderson’s primary responsibility is to engage ever-more closely with Iron Mountain’s customers to ensure that they enjoy industry-leading levels of care, support and service. With the paper-intensive nature of the professional services sector, a major part of his new role involves helping customers manage the transition from a physical to a digital environment, applying the most effective solutions from Iron Mountain’s broad services portfolio. Sanderson will also help customers make sense of the information they hold and drive efficiencies through improved business processes and programmes to reduce long term storage costs.
“Russell Sanderson combines a wealth of information management experience with customer service of the highest quality, which is why he has a proven track record of delivering consistent client growth and retention year-on-year,” said Peter Eglinton, senior vice-president, UK, Ireland and Norway operations, Iron Mountain. “Russell understands how we help our customers meet the challenges of information management, and I’m excited that he will bring his exceptional skills to build on the continued success of our professional services team.”
Sanderson brings 15 years of information management experience to his new role, the last six of which have been spent at Iron Mountain. Prior to his latest appointment, he managed a team of experts to help customers develop tailored strategies for pan-European and global information management programmes. He was responsible for some of Iron Mountain’s largest accounts including PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Hewlett-Packard.
“Iron Mountain is in the unique position of being able to meet an organisation’s entire information management needs, be that electronic or paper-based, on-site or offsite,” said Sanderson. “At a time when information management is of growing importance for organisations, it’s exciting to have the opportunity to work with our clients and ensure Iron Mountain continues to deliver reduced cost and risk, as well as improved efficiencies and peace of mind to the professional services sector.”
