Paragon Hard Disk Manager 2010 Corporate Line
Partitioning, system optimization, disk imaging and migration for physical and virtual Windows environments
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on May 18, 2010 at 3:24 pmParagon Software Group announced the release of its Hard Disk Manager (HDM) 2010 Corporate line, an all-in-one set of tools to provide partitioning, system optimization, disk imaging and migration functionality for physical and virtual corporate Windows environments. The new product line consists of three software solutions: Hard Disk Manager Workstation, Hard Disk Manager Server and Hard Disk Manager Virtual Server.
Designed for use by system administrators and other IT professionals, the products that comprise the HDM 2010 Corporate line provide a complete solution for full lifecycle disk maintenance operations in any Windows OS since Win 2K, including Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2. With one control point, HDM 2010 Corporate products offer a convenient, all-in-one solution that can perform a variety of tasks, from partitioning to system migration, system optimization and data disposal, disk imaging and restore.
While all of the HDM products can be used for system migration to a different hardware platform, HDM Workstation and HDM Virtual Server also have the ability to migrate physical systems to virtual environments (P2V) and roll out images of physical systems inside virtual environments – all of which can consolidate efforts and reduce IT costs. After the P2V migration is complete, customers can manage a variety of tasks offline without booting up the virtual machine.
The HDM 2010 Corporate line is comprised of several unique technologies. For instance, HDM Virtual Server contains Paragon Alignment Tool (PAT), which is designed to increase overall disk subsystem performance by up to three times. PAT aligns partitions on physical and virtual disks according to the internal device’s geometry without affecting the on-disk data, thereby significantly increasing the lifespan and performance of solid storage drives. Another technology found in the HDM 2010 Corporate line is Paragon Adaptive Restore, which solves boot problems after an unsuccessful migration attempt by a third party by enabling users to make any Win2K system bootable on dissimilar hardware through automatic injection of all required drivers.
"Paragon is at the forefront of innovation when it comes to making the IT manager’s life simpler," said Tom Fedro, president of Paragon Software Group. "With the HDM Manager 2010 Corporate Line, IT professionals are provided with a unique, all-in-one hard disk management solution that empowers them for tasks of various complexities for both physical and virtual environments in any OS, which helps reduce IT maintenance costs and manpower requirements."
The HDM 2010 Corporate line is now available from Paragon Software.
