3par Sales Office in Seoul, Korea

3PAR, Inc. has launched its first sales office in Korea and has named Sung-Soon Lee as country manager. Part of an ongoing expansion within the larger Asia-Pacific region, this move creates 3PAR’s first direct presence in Korea, where the company plans to offer its 3PAR InServ Storage Server family of highly virtualized storage arrays to enterprises, service providers, and other organizations building virtual and cloud computing datacenters.

Lee joins 3PAR with a 20-year record in strategic management of direct and channel businesses in key markets and accounts in Korea. Lee’s experience includes management positions at Dell, Oracle, Sybase, Avaya, and Informix in Korea.

The opening of 3PAR’s Korea office in Seoul’s landmark Gangnam Finance Center is the latest in a series of moves by the company to increase its presence throughout the Asia-Pacific region. This expansion is driven by the needs of global customers operating in the region as well as those of local customers. 3PAR’s APAC headquarters, headed by Vaughan Woods, is located in Singapore.
