Event management is planning a series of special events and activities for the 10th anniversary event. Based on the growing importance of content of all types, show management anticipates the 2011 event will be the largest and best attended Storage Visions Conference. The conference call for papers will open in June 2010.

Sponsors and exhibitors at the 2011 Storage Visions Conference include: Marketwire, Silicon Image, SNIA Solid State Storage Initiative and Verbatim. Organization and media sponsors include: Burnworld, Coughlin Associates, Flash Memory Summit, HomeToys, IDC, IDMA and Park Associates.

"While 2011 marks the 10th year of the Storage Visions Conference, we are seeing exceptional growth in digital information/content storage of all types and sizes," Tom Coughlin, conference organizer said. "Content storage capacity requirements in all areas of the value chain are increasing by a factor of 12 over the next few years and we are planning to highlight the importance of this throughout this coming year‚s program."

"We are going to reach out to key organizations and executives at every level of the industry from content development, content distribution, content monetization, content consumption and obviously content storage," He continued. "We want the 2011 Storage Visions Conference to be the definitive event for people involved in commercial content capture and delivery to find important information on how consumers are organizing, storing and using digital content."

The 2010 Storage Visions Conference had record attendance, up 34% from 2009 with press and analyst registration at 33% of the total attendees. Several product and initiative announcements were made, continuing a long tradition of new storage and storage application announcements at the annual Storage Visions Conference.

Keynote Talks at SV 2010 included Jim Gemmell of Microsoft Research, Samuel Fineberg of HP, Dean Klein of Micron Technology and Simon Milner of Marvell.

Here are some quotes received from conference participants:

"Storage Visions is a highly targeted conference that provides computing and IT professional a valuable venue to network and keep abreast on the latest in storage trends and technology," said Justin Sykes, director of SSD marketing for Micron Technology.

"Storage Visions was honestly one of the most well put together conferences I have attended both from a technology and networking point of view – Truly a rare combination. All of the panels were incredibly relevant and in some cases eye opening. I loved all the different views people brought to the table regarding the direction of the industry," said Scott Holewinski, Director of Research and Development, Gillware Inc.

"The panelists and speakers were focused and very informative. My favorite presentation was James Gemmell’s ‘Total Recall and Total Storage.’ That was a fantastic presentation that showed the relationship of data with storage in a very practical way; as an audience we all know that video and music data is claiming GB‚s and TB‚s worth of data, yet James‚ presentation showed how massive amounts of data could be consumed with e-Diaries and the meta-data to describe it," said Sean Berry, Sr. Data Recovery Engineer, Kroll Ontrack.
