This appointment falls on the heels of the company’s recent announcement of 25 percent revenue growth in 2009, doubling of its new customer base during the same period, and wider expansion into technical computing environments across various industries. Additionally, Q1 2010 revenue increased 46 percent when compared with the same period in 2009. Pairman succeeds Randy Strahan who has been the company’s interim chief executive officer.

"Her prior successes and leadership experience are a perfect match for Panasas at this point in the company’s evolution, and we’re looking forward to the many valuable contributions Faye will bring to the executive management team."
Pairman’s career is marked by her growth-oriented leadership that has led to significant successes in prior companies. Pairman served as senior vice president and general manager of the storage business unit of Applied Micro Circuits (AMCC) after AMCC acquired 3ware Inc., where she served as president and chief executive officer. At 3ware Pairman drove the operating plan to take advantage of advances in disk storage technology, dramatically increasing revenues and leading to the acquisition by AMCC. Prior to that, she served as president and chief executive officer of Redline Networks and also spent eight years at Adaptec in various marketing and general management roles. Pairman holds an MBA from Harvard University.
