Front Porch Into Software Development With EMC

Front Porch Digital has entered into a software development agreement with EMC Corp. whereby Front Porch Digital will develop a migration gateway that makes it easy for users working in the EMC AVALON hierarchical storage management (HSM) environment to transition to Front Porch Digital’s industry-leading DIVArchive CSM solution for digital video files.

Front Porch Digital’s experience in migrating content from other platforms has made it the leader in the CSM space. As a result, the company is continually asked to provide a migration gateway to the DIVArchive environment. The new solution will afford users access to assets now in the EMC HSM environment even as it establishes protocols for migrating those assets to DIVArchive. New assets, meanwhile, will be handled by DIVArchive as they are ingested. This solution supports uninterrupted business operation.
