With quad 8Gb FC and 6Gb iSCSI backplanes
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on April 14, 2010 at 3:15 pmStorage Engine, Inc. introduced an enhancement with the Synchronix (SX) 4140 data storage array, which delivers a 20-30% boost in performance as compared to the SX4130.
This performance is the result of quad 8Gb Fibre Channel interface, 6Gb iSCSI backplanes and expansion ports and chipset. The SX4140 offers the same enterprise class features as previous generations, including protection from silent data corruption.
The SX4140 also support 2TB disk technology for large and deep data storage needs, along with various other SAS 15K and SATA disk technology. The SX4140 is also compliant with Synchronism, the enterprise virtualization technology, for provisioning data storage heterogeneously cross platforms, environments, continuous data processing and storage acceleration and addresses DR and compliance needs. The SX4140 also has advanced features like background disk and cache scrubbing, in addition to raid groups of up to 144 drives, RAID-6 and triple mirror support.
“With this enhanced array, Storage Engine continues to deliver exceptional performance, modularity, interoperability and great value to all enterprises”, says Gregg Azcuy, President of Storage Engine, Inc.
The SX4140 is available now.
