Jerry Jeffries CEO of eSilo

A company in online data backup

eSilo, LLC., provider of online data backup, storage solutions and data management services, announced the appointment of technology industry veteran Jerry Jeffries as its CEO.

With more than 20 years of proven experience in executive leadership roles at technology and networking organizations, Jeffries was enlisted to help the company expand its market share for its Storage-as-a-Service offerings.

Jeffries most recently served as Vice President of Worldwide Sales for Network Physics, in application performance insight, which provided solutions that help enterprises ensure the integrity and security of the applications infrastructure by eliminating response-time problems across converging networks. His efforts led to the company’s acquisition by Opnet in a multimillion dollar deal. Jeffries held similar positions at Network Alchemy, which successfully developed infrastructure solutions that advanced the use of the Internet for secure private communications, commerce and collaboration, and at Cybersafe Inc., in network security products. Jeffries’ efforts resulted in significantly increased sales and channel development while building alliances with several Fortune 100 companies and led to the acquisition of Network Alchemy by Nokia for $335 million.

He has held several executive positions including Stage One Sales Consultants, Cisco, TGV, SynOptics and Kyocera.

The technology behind eSilo’s online data protection solutions has been 100 percent built, maintained and enhanced by the company.  eSilo offers a set of features that have been engineered to provide the highest levels of reliability, security and efficiency.  Designed to remove the daily hassles of traditional backups, eSilo’s long list of cutting-edge features include:

  • Affordability – no licenses, setup charges or software costs.  Pay for only the content under storage.
  • Security – 256-bit AES encryption for all communications and stored data.
  • Simplicity – easy-to-use management that offers isolating data for users and computers.
  • Automation – set-it-and-forget-it technology eliminates tapes, equipment management and hassles.
  • Compression – eSilo’s UltraZip gets compression ratios as high at 90 percent.
  • Incremental backups – eSilo’s SmartBit knows what data has changed saving time and management required for full backups.
  • Accessibility – data stored with eSilo can be accessed anywhere in the world at any time via a secure Internet connection with the appropriate credentials.

Jerry’s impressive executive leadership experience combined with a successful record of developing sales opportunities and implementing go-to-market strategies at previous technology companies made his hiring as our CEO a no-brainer,” said Andrew Chernow, Founder and CTO of eSilo. “We’re eager to see how Jerry implements his unique vision to help us bring our secure, reliable, high-performance data backup and retrieval solutions to even more businesses throughout the country.”

I look forward to taking a profitable and highly respected company like eSilo to the next level by expanding not only the reach of our technology but its ability to improve disaster recovery and business continuity operations in an efficient and cost-effective manner," said Jeffries. “It’s important for companies to feel confident that their data is safely backed up at a secure offsite location but we want to make them feel confident that they’ll be able to quickly and easily recover from business interruption if the need arises. That’s eSilo’s competitive advantage and one that I feel we can fully leverage to increase business opportunities.
