Zecurion With Zserver Suite 6.0 Release

For centralized encryption key management

Zecurion, Inc., an information security systems company that protects businesses against insider threats, announces the release of Zserver Suite. This release includes an Enterprise Key Management Server (EKMS) that simplifies administration and management of encryption keys used to protect sensitive information. Using EKMS’s centralized key-management, enterprises will be able to automate housekeeping tasks while substantially minimizing risks associated with administration and key handling.

"Keys stored by EKMS can be automatically uploaded to Zserver-protected servers," says Zecurion CEO Alexey Raevsky. "And when required, a Zserver-managed server can be configured to automatically open encrypted disks after the requested keys are obtained from EKMS. Data can be encrypted using AES-XTS cipher, which is an established standard for encryption of data at rest by IEEE Std 1619-2007."

Enterprises can mitigate risks associated with lost and/or compromised keys by breaking the keys into segments and distributing them to different people in the organization. The keys can be stored on a variety of devices including smartcards, or secure files. Lost key segments don’t result in lost data, because system administrators control how many segments are necessary to gain access to the data.

In addition, Zserver Suite 6.0 provides customers with the means to encrypt and protect data in the cloud. Whether using dedicated cloud-based storage, or shared data storage solutions, Zserver Suite 6.0 ensures that data is protected whether stored internally or in the cloud.

Zserver Suite 6.0 also enhances gathering, storing, and analysis of security-related events. Information can be recorded in XML log files or MS SQL Server, and an integrated reporting facility and query builder offers flexible reporting, and exporting options.

Support for all types of hard drives, RAID-mirrored drives, SAN storage, CD/DVD disks, magnetic tapes, and Windows and Linux platforms make Zserver Suite 6.0 a viable, cost-effective alternative to hardware encryption appliances.
