3par Selects Baxter Planning Systems

Baxter Planning Systems, Inc., provider of service parts planning solutions, announced that 3PAR, Inc. has selected Baxter’s software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution Prophet by Baxter to support its global service part planning requirements.

3PAR’s global support infrastructure leverages advanced system and support architectures for fast, predictive response and remediation. This includes self-healing 3PAR InServ Storage Servers, storage arrays with advanced error isolation and secure networking to centralized experts for diagnosis, escalation, repair, and guidance of onsite maintenance. The use of Baxter’s planning engine gives 3PAR the ability to meet the critical service level expectations of its clients while optimizing internal business practices and inventory cost control.

3PAR plans to use Prophet to manage planning for all service part inventory locations, leveraging Baxter’s experienced planning team during the critical initial deployment period. 3PAR’s long-term agreement with Baxter also includes production processing services as well as the automatic implementation of each new Prophet software release.
