3VR Security, Inc., in intelligent surveillance and search, announced its 3VR SmartRecorder, ServerClass 100, a powerful and flexible solution designed to meet customer demands to deploy 3VR solutions on a larger scale.

A hybrid video recorder and management system built on 3VR’s best-in-class intelligent surveillance and search platform, the ServerClass 100 offers more camera expansion capabilities, robust analytics, data systems integration and processing capability of video management system on the market.

The ServerClass 100 provides a solution to customers who want the flexibility and IT-friendliness of today’s software-only solutions with the ease of installation and support of a hybrid or network video recorder. With expanded camera counts, analytic capabilities, and storage capacity, the ServerClass 100 easily scales to meet the needs of cities, transportation and infrastructure security, as well as other large scale deployments in 3VR’s core markets like retail, banking, hospitality and campus safety.

The ServerClass 100 is designed to meet the needs
of any large-scale surveillance implementation, offering:

• Maximum expansion capabilities to easily scale and network implementations supporting thousands of cameras;
• Microsoft Windows Server 2003 OS option to allow more control and flexibility to meet the enterprise IT requirements and unique security needs of any organization;
• Improved analytics requirements with up to 20 channels of analytics per box;
• Increased camera counts to support up to 48 IP cameras per box;
• Support for network attached storage (NAS) of up to 20 terabytes to allow maximum storage capacity; and
• RAID storage options to minimize downtime and provide enterprise-class storage redundancy so organizations never lose a frame.

The ServerClass 100 has already been deployed in airports, power plants, subway systems, and in several large office buildings both domestically and abroad. The ServerClass 100 will be made generally available to the public May 1, 2010 and is the first in a series of planned ServerClass products of increasing scalability and power.

The ServerClass 100 is the latest addition to 3VR’s family of intelligent video management products, which also includes the 3VR SmartRecorder, S-Series 830, a compact, economical and low-bandwidth video system built on 3VR’s unique intelligent surveillance and search platform, and the 3VR SmartRecorder, P-Series 1680, the most flexible, powerful and supportable hybrid DVR/NVR on the market today.
