TVAR Solutions Adds Coraid Ethernet SAN Solution

To GSA Schedule

CORAID, Inc. announced that the CORAID EtherDrive product family has been added to TVAR Solutions, LLC‘ GSA Schedule (GS-35F-0438T).

CORAID storage solutions have already been deployed throughout a range of civilian, military, and intelligence agencies, and inclusion on TVAR Solutions’ GSA Schedule marks a key milestone in CORAID’s expansion within the U.S. Federal market. The company also recently announced a $10 million venture financing and the addition of senior executives.

"Storage has become a strategic asset for many government organizations, and CORAID EtherDrive represents a fundamental advance in storage technology. We have tested EtherDrive with joint customers, and seen up to a 20x price-performance advantage over legacy solutions," said David Saunders, president and CEO, TVAR Solutions, a Technical Value Added Reseller. "We are thrilled to add the CORAID product line to our GSA Schedule, and we believe it will be a perfect fit with our advanced virtualization and data protection solutions."

CORAID offers Ethernet SAN solutions that provide enterprises of all sizes with a flexible tier of high performance, scale-out storage. CORAID’s breakthrough EtherDrive storage platform has organically amassed over 1,100 customers, including large enterprise and government organizations, since its 2005 launch into the Linux market. Using innovative software with 100-percent commodity hardware and raw Ethernet, EtherDrive storage arrays enable a scale-out SAN architecture that is ideally suited to dynamic virtualization and cloud environments. Starting at under $500 per terabyte and scaling to multiple petabytes, EtherDrive delivers a 5-8x price performance advantage over legacy Fibre Channel and iSCSI solutions, while eliminating layers of complex SAN management.

"TVAR Solutions brings an exceptional level of technical expertise and trust in the Federal market. Adding CORAID solutions to their GSA Schedule will accelerate adoption of higher performance, lower total cost solutions for virtualization and cloud architectures supporting mission-critical applications," said Chip Brodhun, CORAID director of enterprise architecture and solutions. Mr. Brodhun has joined CORAID from the U.S. Marine Corps where he directed the worldwide enterprise deployment of virtualization and related technologies, including delivery of more than 1,800 VMware ESX hosts and 4,500 virtual machines.
