Safend Data Protection Suite With Added Support

Safend announced the availability of the Safend Data Protection Suite, which combines Safend Inspector, Safend Discoverer and Safend Encryptor, with support of both Windows and Mac OS X. The Safend Data Protection Suite is a total DLP solution that delivers complete visibility, control and protection of enterprise endpoints through the precise control of physical ports and devices with Safend Protector; hard disk encryption with Safend Encryptor; and sensitive outbound data with Safend Inspector.

Safend expects Mac OS X general availability for both Leopard and Snow Leopard in Q2. The combination of Safend Encryptor and Safend Protector with the Safend Data Protection Suite provides customers with internal hard drive, external hard drive, removable storage and media encryption using a single management server, a single management console and a single, lightweight agent. This comprehensive encryption solution offers end-to-end protection of confidential corporate data from loss or theft with AES 256 encryption. Safend Encryptor provides ‘True Single Sign On’ functionality which uses an existing Windows login interface for user authentication.

Safend’s Data Protection Suite, the company’s comprehensive solution, guards confidential data stored on enterprise PCs and laptops against loss, tampering and theft by monitoring both the transfer of sensitive data as well as controlling access to removable storage devices and wireless communication ports.
