Acquisition of StoragePoint Software by Metalogix

Metalogix Software Corp., provider of solutions for Microsoft SharePoint migration, management, and archiving as well as Exchange migration and archiving, announced the acquisition of StoragePoint software.

Winner of Microsoft’s SharePoint 2010 Innovative ISV award, StoragePoint enables organizations to shrink their SharePoint 2007/2010 content databases up to between 90% and 95% by keeping content BLOBs (Binary Large Objects) out of SharePoint’s SQL database and storing them on virtually any on-premise or Cloud storage platform. Installed and configured in minutes, StoragePoint improves SharePoint performance, manageability and security without any sacrifice to functionality or user experience.  With StoragePoint, SharePoint content size can scale to over 2 terabytes while the content database remains within Microsoft’s guidelines.

The StoragePoint acquisition broadens Metalogix’s comprehensive set of enterprise-class products, which also include migration, management and archiving of SharePoint content.
