Iomega Will Reveal High End NAS in May
With twelve 3.5-inch HDDs and Avamar support
By Jean Jacques Maleval | March 4, 2010 at 3:11 pmOn its booth at CeBIT, Iomega shows its biggest NAS (see picture in the middle of the enclosure over an 1U NAS and a Dell server) to be officially revealed next May.
Up to now the highest NAS from Iomega contains four HDDs in 1U. The rack-mounted new one, to be announced in May, has twelve 3.5-inch HDDs in RAID modes with four Ethernet ports, used DFS and is compatible with de-dupe from Avamar. SSDs will also be supported.
Iomega will also announces in 2Q10 an external 2TB HDD with USB 3.0, the eGO Desktop, its first product with the new interface.
