The global program will continue to offer rich company and individual rewards for incremental deals that align to EMC’s strategic information infrastructure solutions for consolidation, backup and recovery, archive and security.
In 2010 Velocity² partners again have the opportunity to enhance their profitability through participating in the VIP in addition to leveraging the benefits that are a part of the award winning EMC Velocity² Partner Program. The power of the program comes from partners being able to stack their awards generated from selling select EMC industry-leading networked storage, information management software, as well as EMC SourceOne for information governance and RSA enVision and the RSA Data Loss Prevention Suite security solutions. EMC’s goal is to help accelerate partners’ penetration into markets untapped by EMC and help them grow their business.
"The worldwide Velocity² partner community plays an important role in our go-to-market strategy and we will continue to make the appropriate investments in programs that support and reward its commitment to EMC," said EMC’s Kristian Thyregod, Vice President, Global Channel Marketing. "We have never had a stronger portfolio of products to solve critical IT pain points which enables our partners to win more incremental deals. The combination of EMC’s industry-leading technology and solutions and our partners’ value-added services has proven to be a compelling offering in the market."
"The VIP program has really helped Infront Systems increase our profitability through the alignment of the rewards to EMC’s latest technology that solve critical IT problems," said Alan King, Managing Director, Infront Systems headquartered in Canberra, Australia. "Customers are demanding solutions with cost-effective storage, data depulication to reduce costs and increase efficiency of backup, and security to keep their information safe. Since all of these EMC products are part of the program and there is market demand for these solutions, it makes it easy to identify deals to take advantage of the VIP program."
"EMC continues to show its deep commitment to the channel with its decision to extend the Velocity² Incentive Program that helped us improve our bottom line for the second half of 2009," said Mika Nyholm Sales Director, Proact Finland Oy headquartered in Espoo, Finland. "The program’s lucrative rewards enabled Proact Finland to have additional resources to invest in our sales and services teams to provide our customers with more value."
"We are really excited that EMC has decided to extend the Velocity² Incentive Program because it helped Presidio expand our EMC business by rallying our sales teams to focus on market opportunities that are underpenetrated and really hot right now," said Bob Murphy, North East Division President, Presidio Networked Solutions headquartered in Green Belt, Md.
The VIP program extension for 2010 was announced at a business session in Vancouver for EMC’s top channel performers from around the world.
