TCO Savings With 3par
According of a survey of customers
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on February 23, 2010 at 3:21 pm3PAR, Inc. announced that an independently conducted survey of hundreds of 3PAR customers showed that 90% of all IT organizations responding to the survey described their storage environment with 3PAR as ‘more agile’ than their previous environment (source: TechValidate).
In addition, 85% of all respondents rated the autonomic storage management benefits of 3PAR Utility Storage (made possible by features like Rapid Provisioning, Dynamic Optimization, and mixed-workload support) as greater than that of their previous storage platform. Among participants able to quantify their savings, 72% had reduced storage Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) by 26% or more as a result of deploying 3PAR InServ Storage Servers.
"3PAR Utility Storage has allowed my organization to adapt rapidly and cost-effectively to my changing business needs, and I would recommend 3PAR to any executive who is looking for an agile and efficient alternative to traditional storage," said Paul Stapleton, Senior IT Architect at RedPrairie Corporation.
In the latest survey of 3PAR customers in the US and UK conducted though TechValidate, at least 50% of 3PAR customers responding across all industries – including Enterprise, Financial Services, Government, Education, Health, Hosting, Web 2.0, Marketing, and SaaS – reported a minimum savings of more than 25% across multiple areas over the previous 12 months as a result of deploying 3PAR Utility Storage.
These areas of savings include the following:
- Reduction in administration time
- Reduction in storage capacity purchases
- Reduction in storage CAPEX
Results of the survey were gathered through TechValidate, Web-based software that guarantees the authenticity of all information contributed by participating customers. 3PAR’s use of TechValidate software to gather useful customer data was recently recognized by Customer Reference Forum® as one of 2009’s Nine Best Ideas in Customer Reference Management.
"These latest TechValidate results not only serve as a barometer of 3PAR customer satisfaction, but they demonstrate 3PAR’s ability to deliver on our promise of dramatically reducing storage administration, capacity, and energy requirements, and ultimately storage TCO," said David Scott, 3PAR President and CEO. "They highlight the agility and efficiency benefits of the 3PAR Utility Storage platform with validated, real-world statistics and testimonials sourced directly from 3PAR Utility Storage users. This information provides strong evidence for IT organizations across all industries currently weighing the benefits of taking a best-of-breed approach to their IT infrastructure against accepting the proprietary, vertical stacks being pushed by legacy storage vendors."
