SAN evangelist for Brocade and board's member of SNIA
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on February 22, 2010 at 3:22 pmWe got the confirmation on his blog that Tom Clark, 62, died on Saturday, February 13th, 2010, leaving a wife and two daughters.
Tom Clark was a SAN evangelist for Brocade and a noted author and industry advocate of storage networking, but also musician playing keyboards.
He served on the board of directors for the SNIA from 2000 to 2003 and also held chair positions for SNIA initiatives such as the Interoperability Committee. Prior to joining Brocade, Clark was director of solutions and technologies for McData and director of technical marketing for Nishan Systems and Vixel.

In our library, we have one of his book, Designing Storage Area Network, with his personal signature. Easy to read, it was published in 1999 and was useful at this time to understand FC technology.
