BakBone and NEC Ink OEM Agreement

BakBone Software and NEC Corporation announced a new OEM agreement with BakBone Japan for NetVault: FASTRecover.

• NEC has added NetVault: FASTRecover to its product lineup.

• NEC currently OEMs NetVault: Backup; the company added NetVault: FASTRecover to the BakBone OEM agreement based on their positive experiences with BakBone’s technology and customer demand for real-time data protection.

About NetVault: FASTRecover

• Virtual OnDemand Recovery recovers data to any point in time in as little as 30 seconds. NetVault: FASTRecover’s Virtual On-Demand Recovery (technology makes critical applications and their associated data available for use in as little as 30 seconds in the event of a disaster. Recovered data is completely useable by the application on first recovery, eliminating wasted time and multiple recovery attempts.
• Integrates with traditional backup applications, including NetVault: Backup. NetVault: FASTRecover fits seamlessly into the datacenter, without the need to rip and replace. It reduces network congestion because it is always on – capturing and backing up byte-level changes in an environment as they occur.
• Eliminates backup windows. NetVault: FASTRecover provides disk-based, real-time data protection for Exchange, SQL Server and Windows File Servers. By eliminating these backup windows, down time associated with application and network performance is no longer a concern.
