Bethany Mayer VP Marketing for HP’s Enterprise Servers, Storage and Networking
After leaving Blue Coat Systems
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on February 17, 2010 at 3:05 pmBlue Coat Systems, Inc., in application delivery networking, announced that Bethany Mayer is leaving her position as senior vice president of worldwide marketing and corporate development, effective March 1, 2010. Ms. Mayer will be taking an executive position at Hewlett Packard, as the vice president of marketing for the Enterprise Servers, Storage and Networking Business Unit.
Prior to joining Blue Coat, Ms. Mayer served as CMO with Mirapoint, Inc. in the email and email security market. She has held executive marketing positions at JDSU in the optical components market, Vernier Networks in the network security market and Skystream Networks (now Ericsson) in the video and CDN market. Prior to that, she served in the Office of the CTO for Cisco Systems, developing the company’s technology vision. Over her seven year tenure with Cisco, Ms. Mayer led marketing and product management efforts for products tailored for the consumer, small business and dial access environment, in addition to developing the company’s early supply chain management strategy. Early her career, she managed new product development for Apple Computers’ PowerBook laptop product line. She started her career in operations within special projects at Lockheed Martin Corporation.
Ms. Mayer holds a BS in Political Science from Santa Clara University.
