Zycko Distributor of Xsigo

VAD Zycko has been named as UK distributor for Xsigo Systems, Inc. Under the partnership, the UK market will now have access to Xsigo’s I/O Director product via the Zycko channel.

The top-of-rack Xsigo I/O Director is an enterprise data centre technology that virtualises server I/O (input/output). It connects any server to any network – both Ethernet and Fibre Channel – integrates easily, and enables a simpler, cheaper infrastructure that avoids the limitations of cards, cables, and switch ports. By eliminating I/O bottlenecks and significantly accelerating common management tasks, the Xsigo I/O Director allows for optimisation of datacentre servers and infrastructure.

Data centre I/O virtualisation is currently in high demand in the channel as it offers substantial return on investment and allows for reduced carbon emissions. By virtualising all server I/O requirements the I/O Director can reduce CAPEX by 70%, enable 100x faster moves and additions in the server environment, and also decreases associated power and cooling requirements by 30%.

The I/O Director enables both hard and soft savings, as it simplifies infrastructure, reduces the need for additional switches and cables, minimises power and floor space requirements, allows for increased virtualisation of applications, accelerates changes and additions, and decreases maintenance costs while maximising performance.
