15,000rpm 6Gb SAS HDDs for IBM DS3000

New SAS disk drive options are now available for the IBM System Storage DS3000 series controllers and expansion units:

• 300 GB 15,000 rpm 6 Gbps SAS 3.5-inch Hot-Swap HDD
• 450 GB 15,000 rpm 6 Gbps SAS 3.5-inch Hot-Swap HDD
• 600 GB 15,000 rpm 6 Gbps SAS 3.5-inch Hot-Swap HDD

These drives support up to 6 Gbps data transfer rate, but will operate at 3 Gbps when installed in DS3000 series controllers and expansion units.

The 6 Gbps 15,000 rpm SAS disk drive options
are compatible with the following DS3000 models:

• DS3200 SAS controllers (1726-HC2)
• DS3300 iSCSI controllers (1726-HC3)
• DS3400 FC controllers (1726-HC4, 1726-HC8)
• EXP3000 Expansion Unit (1727-HC1, 1727-HC5)
